Terms and Conditions

Last updated: August 21, 2026

Please read these terms and conditions carefully before using the website or purchasing products from The Office Furniture Warehouse ("we", "us", "our"). By placing an order or using our services, you agree to be bound by these terms.

1. General

These terms and conditions govern your use of our website and the purchase of products from The Office Furniture Warehouse. We reserve the right to amend these terms at any time, and your continued use of the website constitutes acceptance of any changes.

2. Products and Pricing

We make every effort to ensure that product descriptions, images, and prices on our website are accurate. However, errors may occur. We reserve the right to correct any errors and to amend prices without prior notice. All prices are quoted in South African Rand (ZAR) and are inclusive of VAT unless otherwise stated.

Product images are for illustrative purposes only. Actual products may vary slightly in colour, finish, or dimensions due to manufacturing processes, screen settings, or product updates.

3. Orders and Payment

An order placed through our website or via a quote constitutes an offer to purchase. We reserve the right to accept or decline any order. An order is only confirmed once we have sent you an order confirmation or accepted payment.

We accept payment via PayFast (credit card, EFT, and other supported methods). Payment must be received in full before goods are dispatched, unless a credit account has been pre-arranged.

For B2B clients on approved credit terms, payment is due within the agreed period (typically 30 days from invoice date). We reserve the right to charge interest on overdue accounts at a rate of 2% per month.

4. Quotes

All quotes provided by The Office Furniture Warehouse are valid for 14 days from the date of issue, unless otherwise stated on the quote. Prices quoted are subject to stock availability at the time of order confirmation. Quotes do not constitute a binding contract until formally accepted and confirmed by both parties.

5. Delivery

We offer delivery throughout South Africa. Delivery times are estimates and not guaranteed. Typical delivery times are:

  • Gauteng: 3–5 working days
  • Other provinces: 5–10 working days
  • Remote areas: 7–14 working days

Delivery charges are calculated based on order size, weight, and delivery location. These will be communicated to you before or at the time of order confirmation. We are not liable for delays caused by circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to courier delays, public holidays, or unforeseen events.

You are responsible for inspecting goods upon delivery. Any visible damage must be noted on the delivery note and reported to us within 24 hours of receipt.

6. Installation

Where installation is included or purchased as an additional service, our installation team will assemble and position furniture at the agreed delivery address during normal business hours (Monday to Friday, 08:00–16:00). The client must ensure that the delivery and installation area is accessible and clear.

7. Returns and Refund Policy

7.1 Change of Mind

In accordance with the Consumer Protection Act (CPA), you may return goods purchased online within 7 days of delivery for a full refund, provided that:

  • The goods are unused, in their original packaging, and in resaleable condition
  • All tags, labels, and protective materials are intact
  • You provide proof of purchase (order confirmation or invoice)

The cost of return shipping is the responsibility of the customer unless the return is due to our error.

7.2 Defective or Damaged Goods

If you receive goods that are defective, damaged, or not as described, please contact us within 7 days of delivery. We will arrange for inspection and, at our discretion, offer one of the following remedies:

  • Repair of the defective item
  • Replacement with an identical or equivalent product
  • A full refund to the original payment method

For defective goods, we will cover the cost of return collection.

7.3 Warranty Claims

Most of our products carry a manufacturer's warranty. Warranty periods vary by product and are stated on the product page or provided at the time of purchase. Warranty claims must be accompanied by proof of purchase. Warranty does not cover:

  • Normal wear and tear
  • Damage caused by misuse, negligence, or improper assembly
  • Modifications or alterations made by the customer
  • Damage caused by exceeding the stated weight capacity

7.4 How to Initiate a Return

To initiate a return, please contact us via email at info@theofw.co.za or call +27 11 704 6550 with your order number and reason for return. Our team will provide you with return instructions and, where applicable, arrange collection.

7.5 Refund Processing

Refunds will be processed within 14 working days of receiving the returned goods and confirming they meet the return criteria. Refunds will be issued to the original payment method used for the purchase. For EFT payments, we will require your banking details to process the refund.

7.6 Non-Returnable Items

The following items cannot be returned unless defective:

  • Custom-made or special-order furniture
  • Items that have been assembled (unless defective)
  • Goods purchased on clearance or marked as final sale

8. Intellectual Property

Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the value of the goods purchased.

10. Force Majeure

We shall not be held liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations where such failure or delay results from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, strikes, government actions, power outages, or pandemic-related restrictions.

11. Governing Law

These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Republic of South Africa.
